COPD

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive lung disease that makes it difficult to breathe. Symptoms include coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. COPD is most often caused by smoking or exposure to air pollution.

There is no cure for COPD, but treatment can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. This may include medications, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
